Q1. What is your job position at US Mine Corp and how many years have you been with the company? 

• My name is James Harmon, but I go by Jim. I am the Dryer Operator at the sand plant. I have been with US Mine Corp for ten years, but I’ve been working on this mining site for 26 years. I’ve been in the mining industry for 29 years. 

Q2. Give a back story of how you got hired and how you started with the company. 

• When the mine re-opened, they needed somebody to operate the dryer on the sand plant. Everything that I know, I’ve learned here on the job. 

Q3. Give a timeline of the different positions and departments you’ve worked in during your time with the company. 

• I originally started as a Mag Room Operator at the sand plant, and then moved to a Dryer Operator, where I currently am. 

Q4. What’s your favorite part about working for US Mine Corp? 

• I really enjoy working with the guys on my shift. I work on graveyard. It’s the people here that make it enjoyable for me. 

Q5. What is the best memory you have working at US Mine Corp? 

• Both of my younger kids were born while working on this site, and they’re both teenagers now. 

Q6. Give a fun fact about yourself. 

• I really enjoy going to and watching the drag races in Sonoma. 

Q7. Fun debate: Does pineapple belong on pizza? 

• We just had pizza last night and the pineapple pizza is the one that disappeared first. So yes, very much so!
